Believe in Your Dreams

Happy Saturday everyone!

Inspired by Freshly Made Sketches, I put together a card for my first cousin once removed, who has just received her results for a very important exam which will eventually lead to her desired field of study in the University.

I wish for her to believe in her dreams and aspirations, and I am sure it will lead her to the best future endeavors.

So here is the card, using a little pattern paper for layering, some embellishment and background water color effect.

First, I stamped the message using VersaColor (18 Royal Blue) and embossed with clear embossing powder on my Fabriano Water Color paper.

I wet the area with a thick paint brush and transferred Tim Holtz Distress Markers colors using a smaller wet paint brush.  I let the ink spread in the most natural way and heat set with my heat tool.

Next, I trimmed the stitched scalloped border using Mama Elephant Borderlines Trio (it’s really a super favorite of mine).  I cut out a pattern paper from DCVW and attached to the water color paper.

I tied a twine to the tag before layering it over a dark navy cardstock.

I adhered the whole tag on my white card base using foam tape.

Lastly, I added three sequins to complete the whole card.

I hope you like this design and really, to everyone…Believe In Your Dreams.
