Card background images

If you love creating your own card background images that give a good illusion of depth and dimension, stamp your images using different inks that offer different tone.

For this piece, I have used a Hero Arts wood mounted stamp for the background and chosen three different types of colors for the stamping.

I stamped the lightest shade of blue first to give a misty look. Next comes the lighter pink and finally, I added the same image using Versafine Crimson Red. This is the darkest shade and it is also the same ink I used for the sentiment.

Lastly, I used a blending sponge and blend in Crimson Red all over the background of the card, putting more emphasize on the edges as well as the left corner where most of flowers are stamped in the same ink.

Overall, the effect gives a whimsical and dreamy look and it is something unique.

I hope you like this card idea. This is a very old stamp that has come in handy for this card.
