It’s another week with Colour Me Card Challenge…are you ready for this exciting color palette?
One look at the palette, it may look really difficult to create something as the colors are so close and yet so different! But be surprised how these colors come together beautifully!
On a separate water color paper, I inked up all the flower petals with Distress Markers – Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean, mist a little water mixed with Ranger Perfect Pearls – Perfect Pearls, before stamping. I let it dry and stamped the flower outline by inking the stamp with Distress Ink Pad – Peeled Paint.
I did several flowers and fussy cut out all, using all the three different designs on the stamp set.
I align and position the flowers on the card base to get an idea where to stamp the stalks. I stamped all the stalks and sentiment with Distress Ink Pad – Peeled Paint on the card base.
I ink up an acrylic block with Distress Markers – Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean, pick up the colors with wet paint brush and gently tap off droplets of water on the card.
Finally, I adhere all the flowers to the card base using Sook Wang double sided tape.
To add a little more dimension, I attached just one flower using foam tape.
I hope you like today’s card and do check out the rest of the my Design Team members’ creations here to get more inspiration,
Can’t wait to see your creation at Colour Me Card Challenge!
Here’s the stamp set for your reference. There is coordinating dies for this which I didnt’ manage to buy as it was out of stock at my local craft store. Oh…if only I have that, then, there will not be a need to fussy cut! 🙂
