I participated in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge organized by the very talented Kathy from The Daily Marker and this is what I came up with for the first day, water coloring with Tim Holtz Distress Markers.
For a change, I decided to stamp and emboss in white using one of my Penny Black Hedgehog stamps. It may seem strange but it’s really lovely and I got the inspiration from the beautiful Sarong Kabaya Batik Print that is the national costume of the Straits Born Chinese (Peranakans). You can read more about their lovely culture here.
Using Penny Black 1444K Hedgehog Bouquet, I decided to stamp the image using Watermark and embossed in white.
I colored using Tim Holtz Distress Ink and have the image trimmed out to a tag. I edged the tag using AMM Paper Stain – Caramel and adhered to my ivory card base with foam tape.
That’s it. Done! A lot of fun coloring the image and the whole emphasize is on the card image and that’s why I didn’t want to put in too much embellishment for this.
Enjoy the watercolor effect on white embossed line.
