If Friends Were Flowers, I’d…

Hello my friends,

Yet another challenge card!  Came across ANYTHING GOES card challenge hosted by Paper Smooches Sparks Card Challenge and really wanted to use an excuse to open up my new Paper Smooches Bold Blooms J1S134 clear stamp set.  I bought the stamp set a while ago but never used it and this is really my debut Paper Smooches card design!

What I like about this stamp set is the flexibility in creating different flowers and you can even use it to make a tree.  Hmm…I think I will just do that another day with this stamp set.  So stay tune to see creations from this stamp set.

I did a mix of flowers for the stamps using Versacolor (152 Misty Mauve) for the flowers.  Next, I stamp a small flower using Hero Arts (SC153 Soft Blossom) Shadow Ink.  Using the same small flower, I used Versamagic Chalk Ink (GD-82 Wheat).  Reason why I had a mix of ink is to get a different tone and effect.

After stamping the flowers border, I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn LF320 Hello Friend.  Once that is done, I mask the top and bottom of the card and started to blend in Tim Holtz distress ink (using mainly Antique Linen and just a little of Victorian Velvet along the edges to give a tint of pink).  And it’s done!
