Today I am going to use The Greeting Farm Birthday Anya 3 as the main image for a birthday card. I find Anya extremely adorable.
Now, what I like about The Greeting Farm character is that it is of the right size that you can just stamp the character itself without adding much to it and it will just be the main focal point of the card. This is one of the quickest way to get a card done and the whole emphasis is on the coloring of the image.
What I have done here is to stamp with Versafine Onyx Black and emboss with clear embossing powder.
For copic coloring, it is best to use Memento to avoid smudging or the ink bleeding through after coloring, but I found that even using pigment ink is still fine provided the embossing covers all parts of the ink well and I also found this hammered textured card to be superb for embossing the image and even after using copic markers on it, the pigment ink doesn’t bleed through.
I enjoy doing embossing on my image and the only ink that is great for this is to use pigment ink, however, I love copic but these markers tend to make the pigment ink bleed.
So, these cards that I’ve been using seem to work well even when copic markers are used on images stamped with pigment ink.
The latest cards that I have been creating are all with hammered textured cards.
It is very popular in UK and so far, I find many wedding stationery online stores do carry them. There are a few in the US and Australia carrying this product but UK by far has the most selection of white, ivory and other basic colors.
