Happy Sunday and here’s a simple hello card I made for CAS(E) this Sketch using very simple embossing technique.
Here is my creation,
Using the same technique as the last card, I managed to bring out a little color for the doily circle which makes it more alive and not so dull with just one color embossing.
The die is from Lawn Fawn Scripty Hello which was cut out using my Evolution Advanced and easily adhered to my card as if it’s just a sticker.
If you have been following my blog, you will notice I highly recommend Sookwang double sided tape. It comes in different width and I particularly like the 40mm as it fits just nice for the most of the alphabet dies.
For this project, I pasted the double sided tape on the brown cardstock. I die cut the “hello” (using dial 13 or 14 on Evolution Advanced) and carefully peel off the die cut “hello” from the rest of the remaining cardstock.
The sentiment is then backed with the sticky tape and can be easily adhere to the card.
I adhere the whole design onto my card base using foam tape to give a little more dimension.
The tape is extremely sticky, so it does take a little more care and effort to peel off such intricate die cut. As there are several layers to cut (card stock with double sided tape), please take precaution when you run through your die cut machine.
I am using Evolution Advanced and there is a dial at the side to adjust the correct pressure to cut depending on the thickness of the paper.
I hope you like this card design and also get a little tip on using the Sookwang double sided tape. I will also be sharing more of the uses of this tape.
