Magnolia Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart

Happy Monday everyone!

Today, I am sharing a card I made using two clings stamps from Magnolia - Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart and Books With Wrapper.

First, I stamped Tilda and stamp another image on a post it tag to be used as masking.  After masking Tilda, I stamped the second image, Books With Wrapper.  Both images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink.

I colored everything, including the background, using Copic Markers.  I just want to highlight for the background, I used the C1, C5 and C7 to blend round the image, to create a shadow.  I used W1, W3 and W5 to finished off the whole background.

As I stamp the images directly on the card base, the choice of card stock is equally important.  I particularly like Linen Textured Card Stock for my card making.

The Linen texture on the cardstock makes a wonderful finish for coloring with Copic Markers.  It almost look like a canvas painting which I think will give all cards a very artistic feel especially you do large coloring of background like this piece.

I hope you enjoy this.
