If you have been following my blog, the past week has been a burst of rainbow colors.
I hope you have been inspired to play with more colors as it really does brighten up the cards.
Today is another installment of a fun-filled rainbow color card using Mama Elephant Fair Feathers.
Here is my creation,
A very straight forward card to make, only a matter of playing with distress markers and a little spritz of water blended with Ranger Perfect Pearls.
I apply the Distress Markers directly onto the feather image as well as the sentiment. Before stamping, I spritz just a little with water that has been blended with Ranger Perfect Pearls - Perfect Pearls.
I applied all the seven colors of the rainbow to the clear stamps of the feather and sentiment. For the small blotches of ink, I just applied two different colors chosen randomly.
The images are all stamped on a hot pressed water color paper as I find that even there is no real water color for techniques like this, using water color paper allows the ink to spread nicely and the images will still remain quite clear even when it’s spritz with water.
I hope you are inspired to play around with different colors for your handmade card projects.
Distress markers are really a great tool to add multi colors to your stamps easily. Choose those stamps that has large surface stamping, it makes it more fun to add different colors onto it.
I have used the following Distress Markers for the rainbow mix of colors,
- Festive Berries
- Ripe Persimmon
- Squeezed Lemonade
- Mowed Lawn
- Tumbled Glass
- Chipped Sapphire
- Dusty Concord
