Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes

Hi everyone,

Happy Wednesday to all!  I am still so in love with Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes and always try to find opportunity to use it.

When I came across CAS on Sunday card challenge with the theme “Chevrons”, I recall having a Memory Box Modern Chic Chevron Designer Stencil some time back but never quite get to use it.  So I decided to challenge myself to make a bright and cheery background with it for use with Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes.

I am using an ivory cardstock for this project.  I placed the stencil over the card base and used Washi Tape to tape the four sides to get a uniform border.

Using Distress Ink Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint and Mustard Seed,  I blended the Worn Lipstick first at the bottom right corner, followed by Peeled Paint.  Next I blended mostly Mustard Seed at the top very lightly.  I wanted to have the darkest and brightest effect on the bottom right and slowly blend it out to a blurry and light effect towards the top left.

Next, I stamped the image using Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes Clear Stamp set on a separate ivory cardstock.  I colored with shades of Pink, Yellow and Green, just like the Chevrons background.  I cut it out with Mama Elephant Coordinating cuts for this set.  After stamping the sentiment using Versafine Habanero color, I attached the cut-out character using foam tape.

I hope you like this Clean and Simple card, which is pretty easy to make.  I always thought Chevron print is very masculine, but this has definitely changed my mind about it.

I have also submitted to CASology challenge.  Although the cue for this week’s challenge is monochrome and I may have used more than one color (Oops…), but I managed to stick to the same three colors for both background and image. So, I will just have a go at this challenge as well.
