Hi everyone and happy Thursday,
Ever since I got my hands only Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters clear stamps set, I just couldn’t put it down. I don’t know, I just love the scooter, don’t you?
I decided to have a little “make-over” on my set of wheels today to make it a retro, flower power Vespa!
This is what I came up with,
After coloring the flowers on the scooter, I couldn’t really decide what color to put on for the whole scooter and so, I got my wonderful crafty friends from IG to throw in some suggestion!
Ok, since there were some crafty folks who voted for turquoise and it is also one of my favorite colors, I decided to go with that. From the photo, it looks more like blue and I do not know why the color turn out this way after taking the pictures. But the actual card is actually turquoise in color.
Well, I added a rainbow of colors for the flowers because I didn’t quite get that “rainbow ice cream” for lovely Kathy from The Daily Marker the last time.
And also, this burst of rainbow flowers also had red, blue and purple which Yolie, Beth and Kathy wanted for the scooter.
This card is really quite easy to make, requiring a little masking of the scooter when stamping the small flowers on it. All images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.
I added some white line details on the scooter and the wheels using white gel pen.
One thing to note is the way I colored the ground. I dot it with different Copic markers to get a pebble like rather than my usual shadow background.
I hope you like it! I am so happy with this colorful card, it just brightens up my day!
