One Layer Card Challenge

Happy Monday,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and today, I am sharing with you a card which I made for a one layer card challenge blog.

I love dabbling with inks and different shades and subtly draw your attention to just one focal point on the card.

OLS is having a card challenge till Aug 24 and the cue is Strip Down and this is what I have created,

On the card base, I mask the rest of the card except for the strip which I blend it with Victorian Velvet distress ink, using the Mini Round Blending Tool.

I stamped the ketchup bottle just about where I intend to stamp the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Next, I stamp the rest of the other images (hot dog, sausage, burger, etc) randomly using the same ink.

I removed the mask and started coloring all the images using Copic markers.  I intended to make this more sepia and muted tone, except for the ketchup bottle to emphasize on the card focal point.  So, most of the copic markers use in this project are in the E range of colors.  For the ketchup bottle, I used R14, 17 and R46 copic markers.

After all the coloring is done, the only image that really stood out from this card is the bright red ketchup bottle.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment but I used Memento Luxe as I find that it gives a much crisp image.

I really love this new set by Lawn Fawn, there are many things you can do with the set, including creating your own background and even creating a scene with the small images.  Let’s take a look at this set,
