Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds

Hi everyone,

I made a shaker card using Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds and sentiments from Lovely Thoughts and I can’t wait to share with you because it looks so cheerful!

Inspired layout from CAS(E) this Sketch, color palette from Curtain Call, I came up with this design,

What I love about this stamp set is obviously the bunch of flowers design.  It worked so well to be placed at the corner.  And if you have seen some of the past projects using Blossoming Buds, the flower image looked wonderful even when stamped above or below your card.  Check out the projects here.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Lovely Thoughts set and just like the flower image, it is stamped with Versamark Watermark and embossed with Gold embossing powder.

If you have been following my blog, you will know that I have been smitten by gold embossing for many months already, that explains why gold embossing is used for this project, pretty much in line with the gold color found on Curtain Call challenge badge.

The flower images are all water colored using inks from Distress Markers.

For the background, I water colored the parts nearer to the flowers using Distress Markers - Old Paper.  For the rest of the background, I blended with a blending tool using Distress Ink - Antique Linen.

Green and Yellow card stocks used here are from Simon Says Stamp, which I found it to be of good quality.  Here is the link to the Rainbow cardstock pack of 28 sheets that I am using.

I hope you like this shaker card and that the vibrant colors bring you much cheer for your day.

Till then, I will be back again tomorrow with Colour Me! Card challenge with a very interesting colour combination for your card making inspiration.

Stay tuned!

Such a sweet shaker card. Love the pretty heat embossed flowers and those sequins. The dry embossing looks great on the green panel. Thank you for playing along with us at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.
