Spreading a little love for Valentine’s Day 2015

Hi everyone,

Now that the Christmas and New Year holiday season is over, are you ready for Valentine’s day 2015?

The inspiration behind this card came from Colour Me Challenge #52, celebrating their 1st year hosting of a wonderful colour-themed challenge blog.

I have selected their past challenge #19 using Cherry Red and Neutral color for my card and I am spreadin’ a little love to the people behind Colour Me Card Challenge blog, congratulating them for a job well done!

So, this is what I have created using two clear stamps sets from Mama Elephant,

Using Mama Elephant Love From Above stamp set, I stamped the cloud using Versacolor Camellia.  I masked off a small portion of the clouds before inking the stamp, in anticipation of the sentiment overlapping the cloud.

This is what I did during masking, using a small piece of washi tape.

After stamping the cloud, I added the sentiment from Mama Elephant Everyday Greetings.  I really like this sentiment set as the fonts are all lovely, a mix of elegant curves and rustic blurry old typewriter fonts.

The last part I did was to use the hearts with wings as the finishing touch.  I colored with Copic Marker for the hearts and added Wink of Stella - RED to add a little shimmer.

Hope you like this design.  It’s CAS, lots of white space and the red really stands out.
