Thank You Card using Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes

Hi everyone,

Happy February to all and here is my creation for today.

A Thank You card using Mama Elephant Tiny Heros Clear Stamps Set and craft dies.

These just arrived last Friday and I am all so excited to create more cards with this lovely design and I can tell you they are really versatile!

First, I used Post it to mask and leave a border of about 1 1/2 inch.  I blend in Distress Ink (Broken China) to create the blue hue.  Next, I blended Distress Ink (Worn Lipstick) more at the four sides.  I often use this combination of distress inks as I like the effect of this combination as it gives a deep red color.

Once the blending is done.  I wet a tooth brush slightly and splash out tiny water droplets from the brush all over the blended area.  It gives that tiny white spots as it makes the ink spread.  I let the water dry and you can heat set it with your heat tool to quicken the whole drying process.

I scored the top and bottom of the inked border to give an added effect and finally, stamped the sentiment as well as the stars all over using Versafine Crimson Red.

Next, it’s the lovely tiny hero which I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut out the character with the coordinating cuts of Mama Elephant Tiny Heros.  I adhered to the card using foam tape and really loved how the bright hero clothing stood out from the misty dark border.

I hope you like this.  This is a great stamp set.  Stay tuned as I work on the other heroes this coming week!
