Thank You Card

Hi everyone,

It’s been about ten days since my last post and I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebration.

I was away during the eight days and finally, really happy to be back at my crafting table.

As usual, every Wednesday for me is to check out what’s the new challenge at CASology and this week, the cue card - Light struck me because just last night, I was thinking of making a Thank you Card using simple Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks, with no big designs but just something bright that will stand out from the overall light colored card I intended to use.

I wanted the sentiment “Thanks” to “float” and stand out subtly from the card base.

So here it is, my creation for this week, just nice for Week 127 challenge at CASology.

First, I created my own “pattern” paper using Hero Arts E2900, F2897 and C2899.

It was really a moment of playing with colors and stamps using Versacolor Sand Beige, Green Tea and Camellia.

Actually, I wanted to use the floral background but after stamping it, I found it to be a little too overwhelming and so, I decided to “lighten” the overall design, since the cue is LIGHT.

So, I just found the spot that actually has a very subtle mix of the three colors and cut out the word “thanks” using Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks die. After that, I used Hero Arts CL045 Borders and ink with Camellia and Green Tea.  While stamping the border, I tried inking the clear stamp lightly so that it creates a lighter hue so there is slight contrast with the “thanks” die cut. Finally, when that is done, I just adhere the sentiment over it using foam tape.  I added glossy accent over the sentiment for a little extra shine.

I hope you do like this card.  Just another Thank You Card Idea using Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks Die.

Have a wonderful day and Happy New Year to all.

Glad that you found that “light” and airy…indeed, that was what I was trying to achieve with that floaty “thanks”. It’s always my pleasure to be able to participate with CASology. Thanks for dropping by.
