Thank You Mr Lee Kuan Yew

This card is made in honor of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the founding father and first Prime Minister of Singapore.

For the past seven days, Singapore was on a National Mourning period for his passing and it has been a very emotional time for many.

At this very moment on March 29, 2015 at 12.30pm (Singapore time), this is when Singaporeans say their final goodbyes to their founding father and the start of the funeral procession.

“I’d rather not to say ‘goodbye’ and would like to say ‘Thanks’.

Without your selfless contribution, commitment and interest in building up the nation, this tiny island would not have flourished and prospered in such a short period of time since independence in 1965.

The nation has come so far because of your great vision, your belief in the people and strong leadership to steer the country to prosperity.

Thank you, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, you have made a difference in the lives of Singaporeans and your legacy will live on in the hearts of many.”

A special site in remembrance of Lee Kuan Yew.

Not only the local mourns for the loss, many prominent figures and nations also expressed their tributes and condolences, and I am sure Singaporeans are deeply touched.
