CASology Week 174 – Owl card ideas

Happy Tuesday!

It’s time again for CASology and here is this week’s cue card,

Week 174 - Owl

Are you ready to play along with this cue?  And today, I am putting together a very simple card playing with different shades of grey,

Week 174 - Owl

Using MFT Pierced oval stax, I die cut the shape of the oval and mask all over the card leaving the oval in the centre of the card base for random stamping of the owls.  All owls are stamped with Distress ink – Ice Spuced except for one which is with Versafine – Onyx Black.

After that is done, I mask the oval, revealing the rest of the card base.  Using the mini oval blending tool, I blend very lightly of Distress Ink – Iced Spruce in an outward direction to get a little misty look around the oval shape.

Lastly, the sentiment is from Penny Black Bugsy and Owly clear stamp and it is stamped using Versafine Onyx black.

Something a little different this week…just shades of grey but you are still able to add different feel and dimension just by applying blending techniques.

Do check out my wonderful team mates’ creations for more owl card ideas, you will love it!

Hope to see your lovely creation with this week’s wonderful cue – Owl at CASology.
